I originally listened to this podcast as each episode was released. If you pay attention to the year, and you remember what the world was like back then, it is probably no secret that something positive and hopeful was a breath of fresh air. Doing some maintenance on backups I have, I found I still had all of the episodes downloaded. I got excited enough that I copied them back over to my phone, and will listen to them whenever I want a change of pace for 20 - 30 minutes.
After finishing this latest relisten, I realized that while looking back, I give it 5 stars, but that has more to do with how often I remember the feeling of listening to it and some of the great tangents and relationships he built between subjects (my personal favorite has to be his episode on Air Conditioning and Sycamore Trees). Empirically, I’d give it a 3.5 on the whole. Please note however, that I decided to use unicode stars instead of svgs, so I don’t have half stars yet (and out of 10 seemed like too much space, especially after listening to this particular podcast).
